Houston, TX 2006 –LADS Photography (1724-B Richmond), Houston’s premiere fine art photography house, is pleased to announce its participation in the inauguration of the Brillant Lecture Series with Queen Noor of Jordan. LADS Photograhpy was happy to provide stock imagery of Jordan for the event to held in the Hobby Center on October 2, 2006.
Her Majesty Queen Noor is the inaugural speaker for the Brilliant Lecture Series, a non-profit organization aiming to educate, inspire and increase public awareness by providing a forum for interaction with national and international leaders, role models, philanthropists, artists, humanitarians and authors. The lecture is followed by a question and answer period. The event takes place at Sarofim Hall in Hobby Center. Tickets are available for purchase at the Hobby Center ticket office. Born Lisa Halaby in the United States, Queen Noor's journey from New York to a royal palace in Jordan has been remarkable. This extraordinary woman has embraced two very different cultures and reigned supreme in both. Her loving marriage to His Majesty, King Hussein, so tragically cut short, embodied all the hopes, dreams and challenges faced by most couples. The difference - Her Majesty was married to a King who fought tirelessly for peace. With grace and humor, Queen Noor continues this mission by promoting global peace-building, human rights, education and children's welfare. She will inspire Houstonians to take an active role in causes close to their hearts. The Brilliant Lecture Series proudly invites you to share in this rare conversation with Her Majesty.
VIP Patrons will receive front Orchestra seating and are invited to attend a reception at 6:00PM with Her Majesty Queen Noor where they will receive an autographed copy of her bestselling book, "Leap of Faith: Memoirs of an Unexpected Life". Groups of 10 or more, as well as students and seniors who present ID, will receive a 10% discount on their tickets.
